Terms of service

These terms apply to every store that installs Live Shoppers. Installing the app means the store agrees to them. Last updated 4 November 2026.

The service

Live Shoppers shows a store's staff what shoppers are doing on that store right now, and emails a weekly summary. It reads the store's own Shopify data and Shopify's standard storefront and checkout events. It does not change products, prices, orders or the storefront.

Price

Installed from the Shopify App Store: US$14.99 every 30 days after a 7-day free trial, billed by Shopify on the store's Shopify invoice. Uninstalling stops the charge.
Bought directly from us: the price shown at checkout, billed by Stripe. Cancel at any time from the app's billing page; the plan runs to the end of the paid month.

Data processing

For the shopper data Live Shoppers handles, the store is the controller and we process it only on the store's behalf, only to provide the service described above.

What we record and keep is listed on the privacy page. We never sell it, never use it for advertising, and never combine it across stores.
The store is responsible for telling its shoppers about analytics in its own privacy policy and for its cookie consent settings. The pixel follows those settings.
Sub-processors: Shopify (the platform and its events), Railway (hosting, data encrypted at rest), our email provider (sending the weekly report to the store), and Stripe (direct billing only).
When Shopify asks us to delete a customer's data or a store's data, we delete it. Event history is kept for up to 400 days.
If we learn of a security incident affecting a store's data, we tell the store and Shopify within 72 hours. How we protect data is on the security page.

Fair use

Use Live Shoppers only for your own store and only within Shopify's terms and the privacy laws that apply to your shoppers.

Liability

The live view and reports are estimates built from browser events and can miss or misread some visits. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees the store paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
